Services

  • Dethatching
Dethatching is the removal of dead grass and thatch from the lawn. If the dead grass and thatch is not removed from the lawn, it poses a threat by preventing the necessary moisture, fertilizer, and sunlight from getting through. Dethatching is done with an attachment that goes on the front of a riding mower. We recommend dethatching if you have a thin and/or sensitive lawn. Dethatching is done in the spring.
  • Power Raking
Much like dethatching, power raking also removes dead grass and thatch from the lawn. This process of removing dead grass and thatch is crucial for the health of your lawn and allows the necessary moisture, fertilizer, and sunlight to get through. Power raking is done with a walk-behind machine. We then follow behind with mowers to clean up and bag the debris. Compared to dethatching, power raking is more aggressive of a process and is recommended for thicker lawns. Power raking is done in the spring.
  • Aeration
Aeration is the removal of small cores of soil from the lawn. It reduces soil compaction and promotes healthy growth of the lawn by allowing oxygen and nutrients to reach the lawn’s root system. Aeration can be done in the spring or fall.
  • Overseeding
Overseeding is the spreading of grass seed over an existing lawn. Overseeding will fill in thin areas, helping to establish a thick and lush lawn. Having an aeration done before overseeding will produce even greater results, as the aeration will allow the seed to come into direct contact with the soil. Overseeding can be done in the spring or fall.
  • Perennial Clean-Up
Perennials are plants that come up every year. The plant foliage dies off in the winter and the plant regrows from its roots in the spring. The dead foliage needs to be cut and removed in the spring to allow for new growth.
  • Shrub/Hedge/Tree Trimming
Routine shrub and tree trimming will help maintain the desired size and appearance of your shrubs, hedges, and trees. Our trimming specialists are knowledgeable about the timing and technique that needs to be implemented for each specific plant variety, ensuring that your shrubs, hedges, and trees develop properly.
  • Edging
Edging is the process of removing overgrown grass by cutting clean lines along the edges of your driveway, sidewalks, and the street. Edging is an effective way to improve the overall appearance of your property.
  • Mowing & Trimming
Our regular weekly mowing and trimming service team will give your yard a professionally manicured appearance. We bag the clippings after each mowing (unless the lawn was just recently chemically treated or you request that it is instead mulched). Trimming is done around all trees, fences, landscape beds, etc. and any leftover clippings are blown off from the pavement areas. Having your lawn maintained weekly by our team of professsionals will not only give you the yard you desire, but will also give you more free time to spend doing the things you love.
  • Fertilizing & Weed Control
Our liquid fertilizer and weed control consists of a nitrogen based phosphorus-free fertilizer, a family-friendly broadleaf weed killer, and an iron compound designed to deepen the green color of the lawn. We recommend being on a four application program if your lawn is watered regularly. Three applications is recommended if your lawn is not watered regularly.
  • Weeding
Weeding is the pulling/spraying of weeds from all landscape beds and concrete or patio areas. Routine weeding not only helps to ensure that your landscape remains weed-free and beautiful throughout the season, but also gives your plants an ideal environment to thrive.
  • Leaf Clean-Up
Leaf clean-up should be done in both the spring and fall in order to allow for necessary sunlight, nutrients, and water to get to the lawn. Leaves and debris that are not cleaned up will get matted down and may pose a threat to the growth of the grass. Leaf clean-up service consists of removing all leaves and debris from landscape beds and window wells and mowing and bagging of the leaves. All debris is hauled away from the property.
  • Boulevard Clean-Up
Excess sand that has accumulated on your boulevard over the winter may need to be cleaned up in order for the grass to grow. Boulevard clean-up is done using a gas powered rubber paddled sweeper which will not cause harm to the grass.
  • Gutter Cleaning
Accumulating leaves in your gutters could clog your gutters and cause significant water damage to your home. To prevent this from happening, we recommend having gutters cleaned out in the spring and fall.
  • Sprinkler System Start-Up & Winterization
Along with starting up your sprinkler system, sprinkler start-up service also includes adjusting your sprinkler heads, ensuring all zones are functioning properly, and setting your watering schedule. Having your system winterized in the fall will ensure that all sprinkler lines have been cleared out properly. This will prevent your lines from freezing, which would cause significant damage to your sprinkler system.
  • Topdressing Mulch
Over time mulch fades and decomposes. Adding new mulch to existing mulch beds will freshen up your landscaping. Fresh mulch can also be installed around existing plants, which helps to retain moisture and keep landscape rock from smothering the plants.
  • Garden Tilling
Tilling your garden increases oxygen in the soil and helps with weed control. By tilling your garden in the spring, an ideal environment will be established for optimal growing throughout the season.
